"Like lots of people who decide to buy abroad, once we’d made the decision, we didn’t want it to take years to find the right property.

We’d done the usual; read the books, visited the area, looked in estate agents windows and papers and spent hours and hours trawling the internet.  It was after our first solo, and unsuccessful, house hunting trip that we began to realise not only how long it might take but also how scary the process was when you only have limited understanding of the language.
